(\"Basellandschaftliche Zeitung\" vom 8. März 1999) genügt die Abfertigungskapazität für die LKW bei der Autobahnzollanlage Basel-Weil weder den heutigen, geschweige denn den künftigen Anforderungen an den LKW-Grenzverkehr Deutschland-Schweiz und Schweiz-Deutschland. Die Folge davon ist, dass bereits frühmorgens der Standplatz auf deutscher Seite des Zolls überfüllt ist und auf der Autobahn in Richtung Schweiz kilometerlange Staus entstehen. Durch diese stundenlangen Wartezeiten entsteht ein grosser volkswirtschaftlicher Schaden (Lohnkosten, Waren erreichen ihren Bestimmungsort nicht rechtzeitig usw.).<\/p><p>Wie prekär die Lage ist, zeigt die Antwort von Herrn Bundesrat Villiger auf die Frage des Postulanten in der Fragestunde vom 15. März 1999. Die Gemeinschaftszollanlage Basel-Weil-Autobahn, welche auf deutschem Staatsgebiet liegt, wurde anscheinend für ein Verkehrsaufkommen von 450 bis 600 LKW pro Tag angelegt.
